For he has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Colossians 1:13 & 14.

Torment With Fire, Is That Who God Is?

Do you believe in Hell? Does God torment the wicked with fire? Lets look at some scripture.

Revelation 14: 9-11 Then a third angel followed them, shouting with a mighty voice, “Whoever worships the wild beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 will also drink the wine of God’s wrath. This wine has been poured out and mixed in the cup of his indignation. They will be tormented with sulfur and fire in the presence of holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their severe suffering ascends into ages upon ages. Those who worship the wild beast and its image and receive the mark of its name will have no rest day or night.”

There is something called a touchstone.  It is a type of tool that helps make a test.  What is the nature of the torment? Basanizo = which is a Greek word for torment or likely means “Torment of a Corrective nature.” Do we believe that the unjust suffer in the lake of fire?  Is that true? Is that loving and just. How can God only be love them. Look at it again.

Touchstones were made of basalt and were used to test the purity of gold.  Rubbing it would leave a mark by which the trained eye could determine the purity by the color.  The acid was applied, then it would smoke.  This is not torture at all but a refiner’s use of a touchstone to determine purity.  In the spiritual sense, a means of testing.  Basanizo is not torture, the rack used on slaves.  It is testing of metals proving genuineness. God wants to show us the true state of affairs in our lives. In the proper since it is a means of testing and proving, it is though as correction, a word to turn you, a chastisement or punishment.

Bringing the truth out of man over time.  Torture came from evil perverse men.  In the Old Testament we see lots of punishment or torment by the pagan nations to try to reach God.  Other than that, we do not see torture in the old testament.  It is not speaking of torture.  It is speaking of a purifying fire original called “refiners” fire.  If you want to be refined you have to already belonged.

God is always refining all of us, making us more like him.  Not eternal fire burning in hell not being tortured on a rack with flames and beating us with rocks or straps.  It says tested as with a touchstone not torment, in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  Do you think Jesus is really going to let an angel or a demon beat you with straps?  No, this is like a review board in a correctional institution, a detention center, which reviews each person’s character and how they are moving along in life. Periodically they are tested to determine if they have produced the desired results.  This is how God operates he tests us and proves us to be more and more like his son. Especially when we know that we are forgiven and no matter when we make mistakes, we can pick ourselves up and start over.

Basanizo= fire brings the desired results of purification; it is released from the book of life. Entering the city of Jerusalem, entering the temple which is now in human form, we now received from the tree of life, not the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Revelation 22:2, 14 The river was flowing in the middle of the street of the city, and on either side of the river was the Tree of Life, with its twelve kinds of ripe fruit according to each month of the year. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. 14 Wonderfully blessed are those who wash their robes white so they can access the Tree of Life and enter the city of bliss by its open gates.

Touchstone is to purify not torture.

Malachi 3:2-3 “But who can endure the day of His coming?
And who can stand when He appears?
For He is like a refiner’s fire
And like launderers’ soap.
He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And [
a]purge them as gold and silver,
That they may offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness.

Malachi says a refiner’s fire is like laundry soap, it brings righteousness.

Consuming fire isn’t judgment or afflictions, it is to purify our lives as we walk with him through life’s journey.

Isaiah slavery in Egypt is referred to as an iron furnace.  They were not literally in an iron furnace but they had no freedom.  They were trapped.  This is a metaphor you use them all the time.  When you talk or explain things to people.  So, make sure when you read the word of God you figure out what they are really saying. Study and look for yourself.

Deuteronomy 4:20 (NKJV)20 But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day.

Jeremiah 11:4 (NKJV)which I commanded your fathers in the day I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and do according to all that I command you; so shall you be My people, and I will be your God,’

1 Kings 8: 51 for they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, out of the iron furnace.

None of these mean literal fires! Consuming fire, judgement and afflictions are ways that bring purity into our lives as we walk with Him through life’s journeys.

God uses this term fire to cleanse impurities and evil from hour mind and heart, which in reality is setting us free.  Every person on this planet is tested and Gods perfect plan is to set all free.  We are right now being purified, purgatory purification, they all are the same root word from key word fire. Wood, hay and stubble will be consumed, not the person.  That is the process of coming to know the Father.  They will be saved, but as though through fire.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 The quality of materials used by anyone building on this foundation will soon be made apparent, whether it has been built with gold, silver, and costly stones, or wood, hay, and straw. Their work will soon become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by blazing fire! And the fire will test and prove the workmanship of each builder. 14 If his work stands the test of fire, he will be rewarded. 15 If his work is consumed by the fire, he will suffer great loss. Yet he himself will barely escape destruction, like one being rescued out of a burning house.

All that remains is the soul life and the flesh are not damaged, just the dead works will be consumed.  This happens during your lifetime right here on this planet.  The rough edges come off, the sharp angles of your attitude are refined, you become softer hopefully over time.

Revelation 1:14-15 14 His head and his hair were white like wool—white as glistening snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire! 15 His feet were gleaming like bright metal, as though they were glowing in a fire, and his voice was like the roar of many rushing waters

The head/headship speaks of Christ’s authority. White speaks of the righteousness of God and an emblem of his wisdom, omniscience, justice, and leadership. This is similar to Dan. 7:9, which would equate Jesus with the Ancient of Days. He is the Firstborn who conquers death. As the Prophet, Jesus is the Faithful Witness who only speaks the Father’s words. As the High Priest, Jesus is the Firstborn from the dead, and as the King, Jesus is the Ruler of the kings of the earth See Ps. 29:3; Ezek. 1:24; 43:2. Waters are emblematic of “multitudes of people” (Rev. 17:15). It is not simply a voice of “waters,” but the voices of many sons coming into his likeness (Rev. 14:1-3)

Revelation 2:18 Write the following to the messenger of the congregation in Thyatira. For these are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished brass: Or “polished brass.” Brass, forged in flames, is an emblem of judgment.

When you see Jesus Christ eyes like flames of fire.  His glance when I expose all that remains of the soul is self and the flesh and the spiritual believer.  Think about when you saw the passion and you saw Simon carrying Jesus Christ in the movie you could see that Jesus looked into his eyes and he was transformed.  When you see what real love is you become transformed.

1 John 2:28 And now, dear children, remain in him, so that when he is revealed we may have joyful confidence and not be ashamed when we stand before him at his appearing.

See also Luke 16:3; 2 Cor. 10:8; Phil. 1:20; 1 Peter 4:16.

Now children, abide in him and we have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming. John received the revelation that Jesus was coming soon.  He was clearing Jerusalem of all the Christians get out of the city.  He was warning them.  The time was coming.

I am a man of unclean lips Isaiah saw the holiness of God in the Old Testament.  He realized the glory and amazement of God, and he repented he turned he realized his helplessness, his anger, his resentments and maybe even his regrets.

Eonian fire is God’s consuming fire.  The brightness of his countenance, which exposes the ungodly to Ionian shame and self-contempt.  This is another type of fire that the Bible talks about.

Prophet Isaiah saw his glory. Isaiah 6:5 Isaiah’s Seventh Woe Then I stammered and said, “Woe is me! I’m destroyed—doomed as a sinful man! For my words are tainted and I live among people who talk the same way. King Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies! My eyes have gazed upon him!” Then out of the smoke, one of the angels of fire flew to me. He had in his hands a burning coal he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See? The burning coal from the altar has touched your lips. Your guilt is taken away; your sin is blotted out.”

The Hebrew word nidmêti can be translated “finished, cut off, pierced through, devastated, destroyed, doomed, undone, silenced, ruined.”

Jude 14, 15 Enoch’s Prophecy 14 Enoch, the seventh direct descendant from Adam, prophesied of their doom when he said, “Look! Here comes the Lord Yahweh with his countless myriads of holy ones. 15 He comes to execute judgment against them all and to convict each one of them for their ungodly deeds and for all the terrible words that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Enoch was explaining how God exposes shame. Elencho= God helps us expose shame.  So, freedom can come and we can really know what love is.  Think of one person that you really want to be punished.  Think about them and what they did. Who they are? What do other people think of them? I am serious repent, pray for them. Pray for your enemies.  Pray for those who hurt you.  Pray for the one who has more things than you do. Pray for them to come to know the love of God, not his judgment.  God says that I did not send my son to judge the world and Jesus said I did not come into the world to judge man I came to save him. So, who is judging now? Who is condemning now? Do you really want anyone no matter who it is to have a bad life here? It’s the only one we get.

Daniel 12:2   Our shame is always exposed to him. So, his mercy is trying to help us to confess it and know that we are right with him.

When I was a kid, I tried to steal some nylons but got caught. I begged my mother not to tell my dad, he would be mad and disappointed.  What God talk to me about later was “should you have done that to someone else?”  Do you know, I would have got those for you if you would have asked?  My dad said no, but that does not mean I could not have asked him later or I when I got a little older. I wanted what I wanted, not thinking of anyone else but myself. God wanted to show me how to repent, how to confide in him because he never turned away from me.  I turned away from him in shame.  It really does not make sense because I knew he saw what I did.  So why deny it.  I get it.  I am sorry I should not have done that.  I could have just come before him and said why did I do that?  Why deny it?

Just tell him you recognize what you did hurt someone else.  Now my mom had to keep this lie.  I don’t know if she ever told my dad.  It was never brought up again. I was never went in that store again. I was certainly not going to go in there and test it out.  I have since found that I have a loving Father.  He is not going to let me go. He is not going to let me go when I am disappointed and angry because I did not get my way.

Think about King David for over a year.  He would not confess to God his relationship with Bathsheba and that he killing of Uriah, her husband.  He knew God saw him.  He had a relationship with him, but he was wanting what he wanted. Everyone found out it was no longer a secret.

King David separated himself by trying to hide from God. God was right there waiting to him, restoring him, waiting to give him everything he ever desired.

Adam and Eve were hiding from God, he was looking for them in the garden where are you guys.  He knew they did something wrong but he reached out to them.  He wanted to spend time with them.  He had a heart of a loving father.  He found them in the garden and asked why are you hiding. They came out in the leaf outfits that they had made for themselves.  But God’s love was so powerful and so strong for them that he shed blood and covered them in leather skins.

He did not kill them.  He did not yell at them.  He did not reject them.  He did not leave them.  He made a blood covering for them, so he could still have a relationship with them. Read the story again, read it slowly and read it from the perspective of God’s love. God is not angry. God is not mean. God did not strike them with lightning. God’s love was so powerful he covered them. They would not be able to eat of the tree of life for what they did. God’s plan was to send a redeemer to reconcile the whole planet, so they would not always live in eternal sin. The consummation of the Love of God would come for all.

God’s consuming fire is to refine us to turn us, to help us see his love.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 He will bring perfect and full justice to those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to embrace the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

God knows what he is doing. You love and he will love.

Revelation 21:23 – 27 23 The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 The people will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their wealth into it.25 Its gates will never be shut by day—standing always open—because there is no night there.26 People will bring the glory and wealth of the nations into it.27 Evil will not enter, nor anyone who does what is abhorrent or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.

Revelation 6:16-17 16 They called out to the mountains and the boulders, saying, “Fall on us at once! Hide us quickly from the glorious face of the one seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Greek word orge could be “fiery passion.”

What we need to remember is that Revelation is a book of symbolism.  Hyperbole’s is a figure of speech that employs intentional and obvious exaggeration or overstatement for emphasis or effect. Jesus used it often. Why do you look at the plank in your brothers’ eye? Jesus also spoke in parables and only to the disciples did he explain it.

When they pour metal in a crucible, it is sometimes called a pool.  It is like fire and sulfur together in this crucible and it brings out the impurities of the metal, gold, silver, copper whatever metal you put in, it can be refined here or in your life after. We are all in the process of refining. God loved them perfectly, so you are forgiven. Righteousness is of Christ its, not you. Can you change your righteous by your behavior? No. It is of him.

The flesh was crucified with Christ, I’m dead I no longer live, but Christ wants to live through all of the people he has created. It isn’t a reward from obeying the law. I need to believe the right thing about myself. The women caught in adultery was set free. Do you think she did it again? He said go and sin no more but what he also said was “you are perfect in my eyes.” If she received this directly from Jesus looking into his eyes, which do you think she did? Which would you have done?

The answer doesn’t matter for tomorrow when you realize that you are perfectly loved by Jesus you may go and sin no more. He loves every person even if you don’t know him yet and if you do all the more you can see his perfect love for you and for them. Love the sinner to freedom from regret, shame, fear. Love the sick, rejected, depressed and show them the love of God is for all the new Humanity.

Don’t like this message, then you keep judging yourself, by the measure you judge them is the measure you then judge yourself by. That is why you are trapped. You condemn and judge yourself.

There are many Scriptures that talk about getting free here.  Having a good life here, God wants you to have that life here.  We are only here a short time.  Sometimes we lose sight of how fragile we are.  So many have lost loved ones and have a hard time recovering.  Not understanding what has happened.  Blaming God for the death of a loved one.  But it is really not God’s fault. God wants to love you and comfort you and be with you through the process to help you realize that you will see them again.

Revelation 3:18 So I counsel you to purchase gold perfected by fire, so that you can be truly rich. Purchase a white garment to cover and clothe your shameful Adam-nakedness. Purchase eye salve to be placed over your eyes so that you can truly see.

Zechariah 13:9 I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

Proverbs 17:3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.

You are the temple of God, you are this pot, he refines our body, mind, soul and heart. We are the melting in the refiner’s pot. The is not burning us, he is showing us our anger, murderous heart, our sadness, depression. He is trying to set you free from all the things that you believe. They are lies. You are so loved, he loved you before you were born, you were already forgiven before you were born. We live in the Kingdom of God here on earth. Are you getting this we are now the one new creation, one new humanity?

You have been given the Spirit Joel 2:28 (NKJV)The Day of the Lord God’s Spirit Poured Out

28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

John 7:39 Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive. But the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out upon them, because Jesus had not yet been unveiled in his full splendor.

Isaiah 32:15 The Outpouring: The desolation will not end until the Spirit is poured out upon us from heaven! Then the wilderness will blossom into a fruitful orchard and the trees of the orchard will grow into a forest!

Proverbs 1:23 Come back to your senses and be restored to reality. Don’t even think about refusing my rebuke! Don’t you know that I’m ready to pour out my spirit of wisdom upon you and bring to you the revelation of my words that will make your heart wise?

You can be free by his precious heart towards you.  His heart is for you.  His heart is in you, he already knows what you did just talk to him about it.  God has a loving purpose in all he does.  Move with him, follow his lead, stopped pushing back.  As Saul did who became Paul.  Check it out.

Pur =fire is not eternal as you might have been taught, it is for our goodness that God wants us to be cured, perfected and brought into the family of restored humanity.  He does not want you harmed by your family.  Who is to blame?  Now being transformed is actually what a loving father does.

Men who finally find a wife and then have a child are transformed, they see themselves and make a spiritual and mental change to be a real father, one with a loving heart and a determination to provide for this innocent baby.  They renew their mind through the process called I love you baby.  They build up their spirit man and become someone they never knew before. They become like their heavenly father.  They may not even know God as a church goer, but they are becoming like him inside of themselves.  God transforms us by the issues of life by the things and decisions that we make every single day. We become more and more clear in our heart the life we want for our baby.  We provide as never before, we protect, watch, and comfort them like never before.

You are being transformed right now, you are getting softer, more compassionate, more visualizing a life you really desire in your heart.  Or are you still kicking, fighting and being dragged along a path to destruction, is that who you really are? Is that what you really want?  What do you want?  Take a moment to think about what do you want. I want you to know that my loving creative father will never let you go. Yes, he created you and wants to give all, the most abundant life you can have, right here right now.  Look and see his love now.

Proverbs 20:24 It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery!

Psalm 90:2 Long before you gave birth to the earth and before the mountains were born, you have been from everlasting to everlasting, the one and only true God.

Romans 9:11-12 And before her twin sons were born, God spoke to Rebekah and said: “The oldest will serve the younger.” God spoke these words before the sons had done anything good or bad, which proves that God calls people not on the basis of their good or bad works, but according to his divine purpose.

Luke 22:29 I give you your destiny: I am promising you the kingdom realm that the Father has promised me.

Acts 20:24 “But whether I live or die is not important, for I don’t esteem my life as indispensable. It’s more important for me to fulfill my destiny and to finish the ministry my Lord Jesus has assigned to me, which is to faithfully preach the wonderful news of God’s grace.

Acts 26:16 Get up and stand to your feet, for I have appeared to you to reveal your destiny and to commission you as my assistant. You will be a witness to what you have seen and to the things I will reveal whenever I appear to you.

Romans 3:25 Jesus’ God-given destiny was to be the sacrifice to take away sins, and now he is our mercy seat because of his death on the cross. We come to him for mercy, for God has made a provision for us to be forgiven by faith in the sacred blood of Jesus. This is the perfect demonstration of God’s justice, because until now, he had been so patient—holding back his justice out of his tolerance for us. So, he covered over the sins of those who lived prior to Jesus’ sacrifice.

Isaiah 41:4 Who achieved all this and made it happen? Who guides the destiny of each generation from the first until now? I am the one! I am Yahweh, the first, the unchanging one who will be there in the end!”

Proverbs 2:9 Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make the right decisions as you walk into your destiny.

Jeremiah 1:4-5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified= set you apart, you; I ordained= appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Remember, for ever and ever is literally into the ages of the ages, this is a period of time, not an internal condition.

As a father you want to wipe away every tear your child’s may have.  They break a leg, they are bullied, they are molested, they are mad at you, all this is hard for you as a father.

So, this is hard for the creator Father that loved you from the very moment he thought of you.  He has always wanted your life to be one of love for all, to wipe away all tears, not create them.

Revelation 21:1-4 (TPT)A New Heaven, a New Earth, the New Jerusalem

1Then in a vision I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending out of the heavenly realm from the presence of God, like a pleasing bride that had been prepared for her husband, adorned for her wedding. And I heard a thunderous voice from the throne, saying:

“Look! God’s tabernacle is with human beings. And from now on he will tabernacle with them as their God. Now God himself will have his home with them ‘God-with-them’ will be their God!
He will wipe away, anoint every tear from their eyes and eliminate death entirely.
No one will mourn or weep any longer. The pain of wounds will no longer exist, for the old order, the first things has ceased.”

See Lev. 26:11-12; Isa. 7:14; 8:8-10; Jer. 31:33; Ezek. 37:27.

Eonian refers to time not eternity.  Fire is eonian and not eternal.  Hell is not at the core of our planet, stop imagining that fire can only burn as long as there is something to burn, and oxygen is needed.  Think about Sodom and Gomorrah.  Read the story.

Trials come and trials go.  Why?  Maybe life everyday life comes at you as a loss of your business or possibly your home was broken into or how do we deal with these life traumas of lack.  Our car breaks, all our hard work for nothing.  How can we recover, how can we trust God?  There are times of trouble that cause us to make good decisions or bad.

What you do and how do you handle isn’t always easy. Who do you turn to for help?  We all need help sometime in our lives.  We all need others to give us direction.  We are either filled with anger or filled with righteous indignation or maybe completely shut down with fear, resentment, and hearing lies that this always happens to me.  Get advice, ask for wisdom, calm yourself down so you will make the right move.

Sit down and picture your present dilemma and what you’re thinking?  Write it down.  Now calm yourself and think about how it will be when the situation is restored, repaired and resolved.

Now picture the restoration.  See the problem solved.  The excited for the day that this problem is turned to prosperity, blessing, or the issue vanished. This is how you pray, picture what you want the outcome to be, the finished perfect product.

Now what are you believing God for?  I see that I already have it.  It is mine.  Every time I think about it.  I think my gracious father who gives us the desires of our hearts.  I am worthy.  I loved and it is not hard for him.

Where is your belief system?  I planted the letter in 2018, eight years after the loss of my home.  I felt compelled to live there on that street again.  I now have the design for the house that will be built there and someone will be blessing me with it.  My father is a good God and He says dream big, believe you have received when you pray, I believe I have received my dream.

Many times, our heart says one thing and her mind dictates another.  Take every thought captive

2 Corinthians 10:4-7 What are you hearing?

One day driving down to the road, I heard a voice and the voice was telling me that my husband was short with you this morning when you left the house.  I thought about it, he barely even said goodbye and then I realized there was a voice in my head telling me that my own mind was conjuring up this evil plan to make me mad.  I realize this evil thinking from my own mind, according to Matthew 15:19

I started declaring no we were both busy.  We both were on our way to work with both have things to do today.  My husband loves me, my husband and I are close.  I just started declaring our great relationship and I put up stop to that voice out of my own thinking to try and cause division.

He was not short with me.  I kept edifying my husband all the way to town.  He is always wonderful.  He is certainly helpful, very loving, knows how to comfort me, he is always present and what a great provider and father. I won!

How do you see God?

1 Timothy 4:10 For the sake of this ministry, we toil tirelessly and are criticized continually, simply because our hope is in the living God. He is the wonderful life-giver of all the children of men, and even more so to those who believe.

Savior of all man, especially those who believe.  Let us read that again Christ is the Savior of all men, especially those who believe.  So, he is the God of those who believe and he is the God of those who do not believe. You know that God created everything we see out of himself not out of nothing.

Christ has delivered us into the kingdom of God by his son Jesus Christ.  Whether you know him or not he is calling you.  He is speaking to you. He is calling you. Just talk His name is Jesus.

Revelation 10 the gates are always open.  There is always room for more in the kingdom you will never be left out.

Love keeps no record of wrong.

Jesus Destiny covered who?

Romans 3:21-26 (TPT)The Gospel Reveals God’s Righteousness

21–22 But now, independently of the law, the righteousness of God is tangible and brought to light through Jesus, the Anointed One. This is the righteousness that the Scriptures prophesied would come. It is God’s righteousness made visible through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And now all who believe in him receive that gift. For there is really no difference between us, 23 for we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God. 24 Yet through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favor now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin!

25 Jesus’ God-given destiny was to be the sacrifice to take away sins. Now he is our mercy seat because of his death on the cross. 26 And when the season of tolerance came to an end, there was only one possible way for God to give away his righteousness and still be true to both his justice and his mercy—to offer up his own Son. So now, because we stand on the faithfulness of Jesus, God declares us righteous in his eyes!
